Mac OS X Microphone Settings. If it works then the problem is with your user account. If it still does not work then the issue is either with the hardware, or there is still a problem with your OS that this guide did not cover (we try but we can’t get it all). And that your Mac can 'hear it'. To verify that use our mic test and see.

Hey everyone! I am having difficulty in trying to communicate with teams in games. They usually say I have a terrible mic, they cant hear me, or its really full of static and noise. On the flipside my mic works perfectly in teamspeak, skype vent etc. Is there a possible setting I may have unchecked or a problem with my config? I got some pro's config I cant remember and was just wondering if theres a console command to render this. Cheers, Draxaz.

EDIT: I think i manange to fix it, i unplugged the Webcam, changed the USB (the one i have for my headset) and reinstalled csgo, i also lowered the microphone, and now its alot less noice. I would like to thank everyone for their comments and help.

I have previously encountered problem with no sound through speakers in Ubuntu. This time i ran into a problem with mic. For some reason, there was no sound through mic when I was using Skype. The person on the other end just could not hear me out. And it was not just the Skype, other chat applications such as Gmail, also met with same fate.

A pathetic condition, I tell you. How to fix no sound through mic in Ubuntu: While looking for the solution, I found this post, which solved my problem and I hope it solves yours as well. Here is how to solve it: Step 1: Open terminal (Ctrl+Alt+T) and use the following commands: gstreamer-properties.

Onno. a year ago Hi. Thanks for sharing. For me it did not work but I found some information which might help others too. It seems pulseaudio looks at the mic as a stereo device but in fact it is mono. Since right and left are 180 degrees out of phase the mic signal is eliminated (sound cancelling). The solution for me was a bit odd but it works well without removing drivers.

I have installed pavucontrol which offers more options to adjust. Go to input devices, unlock the left/right channel and move either left or right to zero. Move the other channel to 50% or so reboot the system and start skype after boot. Disable skype auto adjust mixer.

You should also see the pavucontrol option in the same window Make the test call and now you will find mic does not have static background noise anymore. Hope this helps.

Regards, Onno Finally!!! I have been trying to solve this for days thanks!!!
